Quality Academics, Quality Athletics

My experiences at MMWA have changed my life, creating who I am today and sculpting who I will be tomorrow.  MMWA was the best college prep experience possible, handing me college responsibilities in a high school setting.

It is difficult to pick a favorite thing about spending the winter in Stowe because really everything adds to the experience of spending the winter there.  Most of all, the general atmosphere at MMWA is outstanding.  There is energy and excitement about the place.  The people tend to look out for each other and respect each other, which I don't always see at (public) school or elsewhere in the world these days.

I have more conversations in a day with my teachers here than in an entire year at my sending school.

I think the most important aspect of MMWA for our son is the environment.  The environment at the Academy is goal oriented.  These are kids who want to achieve.  Placed in the supportive setting of the Academy, everybody raises their game, academically and athletically.  There is no doubt our son would not have accomplished what he has competitively had he not gone to MMWA, but the best part for us is that I truly believe he wouldn't have accomplished what he has academically either.

The Academy philosophy supports the athlete's determination to succeed and develop as a unique individual.

MMWA is the perfect learning situation for both racers and their parents.  It allows the racer to achieve both athletically and academically in preparation for college and it gives the parent a realistic picture of their child

The most rewarding experience at MMWA is seeing the kids we help really grow into these wonderful young students.

Seeing the academic growth and achievement of my students and the successes they achieve upon return to their home schools is truly gratifying.

This is just a great program and the kids who succeed here love it, and are grateful forever for the gift of having attended the Academy.  Imagine the dream of being able to spend the winter in Stowe, pursuing your passion while studying one-on-one with teachers who are committed to your emotional, intellectual and athletic growth.  All this in an intimate environment, where lifelong friendships are forged … plus, I believe this is a good thing for Stowe.

We have a program that we will continue to evaluate, improve and fine tune.  We depend on each and every student, past and present, parents and staff to help guide us into the future.  This is a very unique and special school that embraces its roots while looking forward to the future.

We observed great student/teacher interactions in the classroom settings.  The students were interested, engaged and focused in their studies.
