[MMWA] Mt Mansfield Winter Academy with [MMSC] Mt Mansfield Ski Club offer training programs in Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding.

The Relationship between Mt. Mansfield Winter Academy and Mt. Mansfield Ski & Snowboard Club

The Mt. Mansfield Winter Academy and Mt. Mansfield Ski Club are two separate, non-profit organizations who work together as sister programs. The Academy is responsible for all aspects of academic and boarding programs. The Club takes on responsibility for all aspects of athletic program.

The two staffs work very closely, each supporting the philosophies and guidelines of both programs. The administration of the Academy meets regularly with the coaching staff to discuss performance at training, race schedules, academic standing and overall attitude. The message to all student athletes is that the privilege of training is always dependent upon classroom standing. In reverse, the Academy will provide academic support on a variety of levels in order to allow each athlete the ability to balance academics and athletics.

Each program bills separately for its services. Families receive an invoice for Tuition and Room & Board from the Academy and an invoice from the Mt. Mansfield Ski Club for Coaching Fees.

The Boards of both programs also meet and work together, addressing issues that arise from either end. Fundraising and future planning are discussed to ensure that the goals and philosophies of both staffs are consistent and moving in a direction to provide a quality experience for each student.
