Academy Pilots PG Program

MMWA, in conjunction with MMSC, announce the introduction of a post-graduate program for the 2007-08 season to meet the small but growing demand for structured post-graduate learning, living and training opportunities.

In addition to top caliber on and off-snow training, students will receive academic instruction and career exploration. Working with MMWA faculty, students will maintain and strengthen academic skills and explore career possibilities through internships with local Stowe businesses. All students will be assigned a mentor who will monitor their progress and plans throughout the program. Academic options will range from pre-college prep to AP courses. Training will include trips, sport specific physical conditioning and entry in USSA and FIS level competition. Housing will be provided in the fall at the Academy and off-campus during the winter season.

This program has limited enrollment. Interested students and parents should contact Lori Furrer for additional information.

""MMWA and MMSC provided our children Jess, Tim, and Robby Kelley the opportunities and tools they needed to get a quality education and still pursue their passion for ski racing at an elite level. They were able to stay involved in their local high school and community by attending the academy in the winter and their own high school fall and spring. We believe the combined atmosphere of elite skiing and a "home" high school allowed our children to have a more balanced lifestyle, better preparing them for the "real world."
