Stowe Road Rally & Bike Rodeo
Academy athletes stay in top shape by attending physical conditioning classes several evenings each week at the PhiT Performance Training Gym. The facility, located in Stowe’s Lower Village uses the most advanced strength, cardiovascular and sport specific training equipment on the market today. PhiT is the only gym in Vermont to offer the Quad Mill, a training machine that focuses on the lower body muscle’s shock absorbing function. Regular use of the Quad Mill leads to rapid strength gains and increased anaerobic endurance.
Owners-trainers, Julie and Ernie Roick, are responsible for dramatically improving the health and fitness levels of countless professional and amateur athletes. Ernie has more than 15 years of training experience and is a former U.S. Marine. Julie earned her B.A. in Dance at the University of California, Irvine. Ernie is certified by the American Council on Exercise and both Ernie and Julie hold certifications with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Ernie is an Ironman triathlete who enjoys boxing and volunteering with local youth sports leagues. Julie is a competitive age-group triathlete and enjoys dance when time permits.
My experiences at MMWA have changed my life, creating who I am today and sculpting who I will be tomorrow. MMWA was the best college prep experience possible, handing me college responsibilities in a high school setting.
