The College Process

We strongly believe in the many benefits of Mt. Mansfield Winter Academy’s rigorous academic and athletic program. Helping to develop character, independence and self-confidence are just some of the benefits of studying at MMWA.

Colleges look very favorably on students who participate in a unique educational experience like ours. MMWA students have experienced not only an excellent college acceptance history, but our students also feel that they are well prepared and ahead of their peers in the freshman year of college.

Colleges MMWA students have chosen to attend include:

Bates College, Boston College, Brown University, Colby College, Colby-Sawyer, Colorado College, Dartmouth College, Middlebury College, Montana State, Plymouth State College, St. Lawrence University, St. Michael’s College, Tufts University, University of Colorado, University of Denver, University of New Hampshire, University of Utah, University of Vermont, Whitman College, and Williams College.

Working with students and parents, we take an active role in facilitating the College Process. We work with students to discuss and assess prospective colleges. We host college admissions officials for information sessions and we organize MMWA Career Nights to help students become aware of different career paths.

MMMSC coaches also play an active part in the discussion. We have well established communication channels with leading college coaches and are able to convey the full potential of our MMWA student-athletes.

Just as the current success of our students is important to us, so too is the path that our students choose upon leaving MMWA.
