"We have created something terrific here at the Academy and with your help, which comes in many, many forms, we are building on that." MMWA Boardmember, Biddle Duke

Our success at the Academy is thanks to the support and efforts of our special community members. Parents, students, alumni and friends have joined together on so many occasions to offer their time and talents to MMWA. We welcome the participation of all members of our community.

Whether it's at one of our Volunteer Weekends or MMWA Events, we invite you to join in and get involved. Your efforts truly make a difference. Volunteering for MMWA is a great way to meet other families and show your kids you're interested in the MMWA Community.

This year, we're looking for help with the 6th Annual Mansfield Trail Run (Sunday, October 18th)

Questions about Volunteering at MMWA

Why do you ask for volunteers?
We're a lean organization, meaning we don't have a lot of staff and we run a tight budget. We've always received support from parents and friends with some tasks that save us from spending extra dollars and allow us to organize events. We also think that volunteering is a terrific (and fun!) way to build our community and help student families meet one another.

How do I get involved?
Great, we're pleased that you're interested. Each year we have scheduled Volunteer Weekends and events where we ask parents (and students!) for help. A letter will be sent in the fall with a school calendar that lists when the activities are scheduled.

What do I do?
Depending upon your interests and skills, we may have you paint, move furniture, work in the Library or wash windows. The tasks vary each year and there's a real range of what's needed. For our events, (the Mansfield Trail Run and the Basket Raffle) we have specific needs and have sign-up sheets.

THANK YOU!

My experiences at MMWA have changed my life, creating who I am today and sculpting who I will be tomorrow.  MMWA was the best college prep experience possible, handing me college responsibilities in a high school setting.
